Andesite — Spokane River — The Black Moon
The stone was found in the Spokane River. It was cut into a smooth, round cabochon. We let the natural character of the dark stone dictate its final shape. It has a deep, polished surface with subtle flecks.
We've waded the Spokane River for over 30 years. It runs right through our backyard. Rufus, our beloved dog, loved it there.
Every piece in the Spokane River Stones and Stories Collection comes from the river we know best. Each stone has a story of survival.
— Bob & Janyce, Rockhound Studio, Spokane Valley WA
