You picked it up somewhere. Maybe a riverbank. Maybe a trail. Maybe a parking lot and you still don't know why. It's been sitting on your shelf ever since because it caught your eye and you couldn't leave it behind.

Send us some photos and tell us where you found it. We'll give you our best guess from there — but the real answer comes when it's in our hands. Once it arrives, we'll figure it out together.

How It Works

Step 1 — Come Meet Us First.
Before anything else — come meet Bob & Janyce →. Thirty-four years of marriage. Thirty years of customer service and listening. When you tell us what that rock means to you, we hear it. New medium. Same art.

Step 2 — Show Us What You've Got.
Fill out our intake form and send us:

• 5 photos on a white background, different angles — just your phone camera is fine
• Where you found it. State, region, specific spot if you know it. Location is our first clue.
• A quick scratch test — drag a framing nail across it. Does the nail scratch the stone, or does the stone scratch the nail? Either answer tells us something.
• One thing: we can only work stones 6 inches or smaller

Step 3 — We Talk.
We'll email you back and have an honest conversation about what your stone might want to become. A freeform cab. A pendant. A display piece. We follow what the stone gives us — we don't force it into a shape it doesn't want to be. Nothing gets cut until you say go.

Step 4 — Mail It to Us.
You cover the postage to get it here. We'll give you our address when we're ready. We confirm when it arrives and give it a good look in the shop.

Step 5 — We Tell You What We Think.
Here's the honest part: found rocks are rarely pure. We're not a lab. But between where you found it, the scratch test, and what we see in hand — we'll give you our best read on what it is and why we think so. Then we give you a firm price. No surprises.

Step 6 — We Get to Work.
Same bench. Same two people. Every piece flows freeform — we let the stone lead.

Step 7 — It Comes Home.
You cover return postage. You decide what comes back:

• Just the finished piece — we keep the leftover material
• Everything — art plus all remaining stone

Your finished piece comes with the full story of what we found when we opened it up.
