Breccia Aventurine - Yakima Canyon - The Black Lightning

This Breccia Aventurine is green-grey. It has a grey pattern with dark veining and deep green. Janyce gave it a high polish. The dark veining reads almost black. In the right light, it shows a deep, cold green. This is a one-of-a-kind piece.

Janyce and I had been searching for miles. We were coming up empty. Locals pointed us to the Yakima River Canyon. We wanted the jasper. We burned west on I-90 from Spokane. It was a drought year, and the water was low. We spent the afternoon wading in foot-deep water. We hauled 40 lbs of stone out of that canyon.

This piece came from that water. It is part of our Yakima River Canyon collection.
