Breccia Aventurine — Yakima River Canyon — The Dark Horse

This is a deep black jasper. It shows grey-white veining. Janyce gave it a high polish.

Before Yakima, we had driven many miles. We were not finding much. Locals pointed us to the Yakima River Canyon. Everyone else wanted Ellensburg Blue. We wanted the jasper.

We hauled 40 pounds of stone from that canyon. Not one piece went into the front yard rock garden. Every piece in this Yakima River Canyon collection came out of that water.
