Heart of a Thunder Egg
THE BALL OF MUD
When I started grinding this small thunder egg, it looked like a ball of mud. Brown, ugly, unremarkable. The kind of rock most people would throw back.
But I kept going.
THE MEDITATION
This became an off-and-on project—almost a meditation. Grind a little. Clean away the brown. See what emerges. Grind some more. Clean again. Slowly, patiently, getting to know this stone.
And then the surprises started appearing.
THE REVELATION
As the brown washed away, the heart of the thunder egg revealed itself—a triangular core with translucent bluish-white seas and waterlines like an ocean bottom, frozen in time.
Brown little islands span over the top, scattered like ancient land masses floating above a ghostly sea.
THE WAVING GHOST
On one side, a small white ghost figure emerged—and it looks like he's waving at you. I'm not making this up. Tilt the stone, catch the light just right, and there he is: a tiny translucent spirit saying hello from the edge of this frozen ocean.
And at the very top? A surprise red dot. A single point of color in all that white and blue—like a lighthouse beacon on a ghostly shore.
BOB'S FIRST FREEFORM
This was my first freeform cut. No template. No guide. Just following the stone's natural shape, trusting the process, letting it tell me what it wanted to be.
37mm x 25mm x 21mm of patience, meditation, and discovery.
POLISH YOUR MEMORY
This is what "Polish Your Memory" means. That "ball of mud" you found on the beach? That "ugly rock" from the trail? It could be hiding a waving ghost, brown islands, an ocean floor, a red beacon—a world of surprises waiting to be revealed.
You bring us your rock. We meditate on it, grind it, clean it, discover it together. And you get to wear the moment of revelation—the surprise, the beauty, the transformation—for the rest of your life.
