This hand-selected Botswana agate pendant was purchased at our local hobby shop where I buy lapidary supplies - from the same specimen as our Sunset Botswana Agate! Each piece cut from this stone reveals unique banding patterns and warm earth tones.

STONE CHARACTERISTICS:

• Natural microcrystalline quartz with fine banding
• Gray, pink, and brown tones
• 180 million years old (Jurassic period)
• 6.5-7 Mohs hardness
• Formed in volcanic rocks
• Beautiful natural banding patterns
• One-of-a-kind specimen

WHAT MAKES IT SPECIAL:
Botswana agate is prized for its beautiful banding and warm earth tones. Each piece has unique patterns created by rhythmic crystallization of silica layers over millions of years. The fine, parallel bands formed as silica gel crystallized from the outside of volcanic cavities inward.

SETTING:
Silver-tone or bronze-tone imported setting with 18-inch chain and lobster claw clasp - budget-friendly while we save for professional equipment. The value is in this beautiful Botswana agate specimen.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS:
Botswana agate is very durable with 6.5-7 hardness. Clean with mild soap and water. Avoid harsh chemicals.

⚠️ METAL SENSITIVITY WARNING:
Imported settings may contain nickel and could cause reactions in sensitive individuals. Loose stone available upon request - we can remove it from the setting for you to have set in sterling silver or other hypoallergenic metal by your jeweler.
