A customer came into O'Reilly's admiring the snowflake pendant Janyce was wearing. He was a fellow rockhound. He said Yakima Canyon was good. My coworker from Cle Elum, Washington said the canyon was supposed to have petrified wood and jasper. So we made the 2.5 hour drive that Saturday.
It was a drought year. The water was low. We waded in and stared straight down at the riverbed until the sun went down and hauled 40 pounds out. The Yakima Collection → Not one of them went into the front yard rock garden.
