Dragon's Eye Labradorite — Richardson's Rock Ranch — The Blue Bells
It was Day 3 of the 3,000-Mile Run. I drove every mile. The 3,000-Mile Run → We pulled into Richardson's Rock Ranch — a thousand pounds of raw labradorite sitting on a pallet in 95-degree Oregon heat. An employee told us the blues were weak. Don't look for blue. I don't listen to don't. I spent an hour in that sun turning over raw boulders until I found it. The Richardson Strike →
They said the blues were weak. This one proved them wrong. The flash is sky blue — a rolling eye that moves from edge to edge as you turn it. Calm, cool, like light through shallow water. We lost 25% of that raw just learning the angles. We cut strictly to chase that roll. Every stone we brought back from that run earned its place. The 3,000-Mile Run Collection → It sits in an antique silver flower crown bezel — six small flowers fanned across the bottom, scrollwork bail at the top. Bob bought a grab bag of bezels to practice on. This stone picked its own frame. The Richardson's Rock Ranch Collection →
