Serpentine Cabochon — The Orca Fin
The shape came out of the rough looking exactly like an orca's dorsal fin — tall, curved, and tapered to a point. Serpentine is a magnesium silicate mineral with a waxy, almost soapy surface texture and a green that ranges from pale sage to deep forest. This one landed in the middle: rich, muted green with subtle mottling that gives it depth.
Hand-cut and polished in the Spokane Valley shop. Serpentine is softer than most of our stones at Mohs 3–5, so it's best worn as a pendant rather than a ring or bracelet.
