One of the first stones we ever bought. We had it cut in half right there in the shop. Then we held onto it for a few years. \u003ca href=\"\/collections\/the-shopped-rock\"\u003eThe Shopped Rock Collection →\u003c\/a\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eWhen I finally put it on the wheel, this was my first attempt at a heart shape. I ground it down and the pink rings appeared while I was working it — right in the center of the right lobe. We didn't put them there. The stone had them waiting inside.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe grey is translucent. Shine a light into it and you can see the matrix inside — a little landscape of peaks and ridges, like a moonscape. Mountains frozen in agate for millions of years.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eI couldn't figure out the cleavage. That's the line down the center of a heart, and I couldn't get it right. So I made a decision. I put a silver plated wrap over it. The wrap became the piece. What I was trying to hide turned into the design.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eNot dyed. Not enhanced.
